Sinusitis Symptoms

Sinusitis symptoms……………..

Sinusitis occurs when air pockets located in the cheek area under the eyes become inflamed due to infection. The infection is usually caused by blockage of the tubes attached to nasal passages.

Sinusitis Symptoms

Sinusitis-symptoms include facial pain, headaches, thick nasal drainage, coughing, difficulty breathing due to improper sinus drainage, and postnasal drip. Other symptoms are bad breath, sensitivity to light, sore throat, swollen eyelids and fatigue.

There are four sinus cavities: the frontal, maxillary, ethmoid and sphenoid. Because each sinus has its own pain signals, specific sinusitis symptoms depend on which sinus is affected.

Pain in the forehead may indicate inflammation of the frontal sinus, while inflammation of the maxillary sinus can cause jaw and tooth pain, as well as tenderness in the cheek area. Pain and swelling around the eyes as well as difficulty breathing can indicate inflammation of the ethmoid sinuses, while pain at the top of the head, earaches or neck pain may mean that the sphenoid sinuses are inflamed. Symptoms occur in several locations, and it is difficult to determine which sinus cavities are inflamed.

Sinusitis Remedy

After a diagnosis is made, it is important to find the right sinusitis remedy. The goal of treatment should be to relieve symptoms and reduce inflammation. To relieve acute symptoms, such as stuffy nose, pain and infection, doctors may recommend decongestants, pain relievers or antibiotics.

It is important to note that some of these remedies may have troublesome side effects or may stop working if taken for long periods of time. For people with chronic sinusitis, fish oil supplements may be useful as a sinusitis remedy to help control the inflammation that triggers symptoms. The omega 3 fatty acids in fish oil are known for their anti-inflammatory properties.

Xtend Life Omega 3/Fish Oil Esters provide a pure source of fish oil. It is used to help reduce the severity and frequency of acute symptoms from sinusitis by reducing inflammation.
